MR and Awakening are different
A Vision supplies its equipped character with skills and stat bonuses. MR is tracked separately for each character and Vision, up to MR9 in the full game. Moving Cloud from Rain to Lasswell does not transfer Rain’s mastery to Lasswell.
Awakening raises a Vision’s shared star level. Use a Magicite Shard for one star, Magicite for two, and Magicite Cryst for three. Those stars apply whichever character equips the Vision.
Unequipping a Vision removes its active skills. Learned Mastery Bonuses can remain useful, but you must equip them within your AP budget. Learning a bonus and equipping it are separate steps.

Quest Vision routes
Camille — The Call from Beyond
Accept the quest in Zoldaad’s Residential District, then visit the station outside Pyroviper Cave. Speak to passengers in the first and second carriages. Choose General Wilhelm’s men, then Exposing Lasarov. Speak to the woman in the first carriage and choose The remorse of the soldiers. Defeat Phantom Train True Form with Ice and Light attacks to receive Camille.
Wilhelm — O General! My General!
Speak to Ozetta in Castle Plaza. Visit both marked camps in the Zoldaad region, return to the plaza, then follow the marker into the northern part of Weapons Factory. Return to Zoldaad and speak to Foxie in the hotel.
Aileen — Forger of Wills
Talk to the Gossiping Girl near Dilmagia’s entrance, then Aileen in the shipyard. Follow the marked conversations near the weapon shop, in Kol and at Rebel Hideout. Visit the upper-left marker in Mobliz Shipyard and return to Dilmagia Shipyard.
The recorded dialogue route is It’s a tool of harm → A way to rebel against troubling times → Craft weapons that suit each of us well. Follow this quest separately from Lid’s nearby storyline. Receiving Aileen’s Vision is not the same milestone as unlocking all her weapon crafting later.
Victoria — Victoria Revivified
Talk to the witch near Mysidia’s shops, visit Victoria in the Potion Factory, and enter Victoria’s Shrine. Defeat the marked Black Lizards north of Mysidia, then return to the fountain area for the reward.
Amelia — Errand’s End
Read the Zoldaad noticeboard, speak to Shera at the castle, and follow the quest through Olderion and Waterfall Way. Return to Zoldaad to finish.
Charlotte — The Shield of the Weak
Start at Grandport pier. Speak to the three marked NPCs at Grandshelt Castle, fight at the marker partway through Kolobos Ruins, then speak to the NPC in Cavern of Swords and defeat the Magitek Weapon. Return to Charlotte in Grandshelt.
Ayaka — The Admirable Apprentice
After Ayaka’s first scene in northern Sian, speak to her again. Visit Waterfall Way, fight Ashasaur in Infernal Hollow, and follow the marker at Mt. Thunderclap. Return to Ayaka in Sian.
What to collect first
Start with the five Chapter 1 Visions: Tronn, Leah, Warrior of Light, Terra and Cloud. Add new elements as you reach each continent. Rotate a maxed Vision when you want more Mastery Bonuses, but keep the healing and elemental skills your current fight needs.
For character-specific choices, use Vision pairings. Sephiroth has a separate unlock and battle guide; his fight cannot be skipped by answering shrine questions.
